Last weekend, a new customer came into the shop and traded me some non sport comic cards for some comics. Let me just go ahead and throw this out there, I love to trade. It's part of the reason I love this hobby and the main reason trading cards are called, well; trading cards. lol
Anyways, I think he walked away with some nice X-Men comics he needed for his collection and I picked up some cool cards.
Back in 1995, Skybox was putting out Emotion sets in baseball, basketball, and hockey and apparently someone thought it would be cool to make a alternate set for the Marvel Masterpieces set and insert them one per pack. These cards turned out to be a hit with collectors! It's been a while since I saw any of them and I was wowed all over again with how unique they are. It took me back to a time when I was only collecting comic cards and had never bought any sports cards.
I just wanted to share these cards with everyone.
I adore the artwork on these cards and the time put in by Marvel to produce a quality set. I hope everyone enjoys seeing these cards as much as I have. =)
